Holiday's over but not yet back to normal

Well I was back from holiday on Tuesday evening.  After my long day in gorges' and on the coast when I messed up my feet and my shoes I didn't do anymore running, I did swim most days whether in the pool or the sea but I did much less, eat and drank more. I also managed to finish the books I was reading - I now know far more about Arthur and the history of the late 4th century.  When we got home it was a lot cooler and wetter than when we left.
On Wednesday I bought a new pair of running shoes to replace those I left in Crete... I also went back to work so lots of catching up to.  In the evening I went to Pilate's - it had only been 3 weeks since the last time I went but it was a lot harder than normal.
I met Steve Casson on Thursday morning to review the Ironman even and training.  We didn't agree on what next as I am still thinking about 2011 and indeed 2012.  For the rest of this year I am training for the Bala Tri and then the New York marathon, but still taking it easy until the end of the month before starting training programme again.  I was planning to run at WRR that night but I didn't make it as I didn't fancy running in the rain in my new shoes so I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill for half an hour.
I was up early Friday and went for a swim session at Esporta, I nearly didn't get up but enjoyed the session in the end.  As it look like I will not be able to get a bike ride tomorrow I went for a spin class this evening - I hadn't been to one for a while but it was enjoyable and hard work.
