An extra bike ride before the holiday
I treated myself to a bike ride this morning to start off my holiday. It did feel earlier than usual but it wasn't, perhaps just my holiday mood.
I was off by 7am heading out to Castlethorpe through the forest before heading to Whittlebury to complete the loop home. I intended it to be a relaxed ride but still trying to push it along. The only problem with the ride on a weekday morning is the traffic even in August I was having to deal with close passing white vans and artics until I got to Deanshanger. I was out for 1hour 57'24" covering 32.62 miles at 16.7mph with an average cadence of 81rpm. I averaged 134bpm with 89% of the effort on Z2 and Z3. I was pleased I headed out on the bike as I will be 'resting' the bike for the next 2 weeks although I will be doing more swimming and running, all hot weather training just ready for the cooler weather of the autumn!
