WRR club night - first in ages
I was scheduled for a 45 minute run today at a low HR. I decided that I would do something different and do a club speed session, not a Group 3 session, bit with Group 4 with the proviso that if I found it to hard or get a reaction then I would pull out. Ian lead the group out towards Grange Park at a good conversational pace giving an opportunity to relax and chat. The session was to be 6x2mins, 4 x1.5mins and 2x1mins with 1 min rest between each set. I took it easy stopping in mid group as I didn't want to cause myself any problems. I enjoyed the session, it was a good change, in fact it was relaxing, although if you believe the HR data I was spending a lot of time running at exhaustion levels. I ran 6.14 miles in 60'36" so the average pace was slow, but the fast bits were faster than I had run for a few months - all good training.
