A long slow run, again!

Today's plan was for a 45 minute slow, HR zone 1 run.  I had a late start this morning as I have a few days off work to coincide with Cath's half term.  I set off to do a Pineham circuit, the first few minutes as ever seemed to give a high HR and then settled down to a steady, slow pace.  I just went into my zone, checking my HR on the watch quite often.  I was that much into the slow running that I just kept running when I should have turned off and ended up runnng through to the Weedon Road before heading back via Upton.  It meant that the run was longer, 64'58" rather than 45 minutes, running 6.06 miles, with an average HR of 122bpm, but still managed to get 9 minutes in zone 2 and 3.  Mind you I did have a faster average pace at 10'42" so perhaps I am getting better at running in zone 1.
I was supposed to be doing a Pilate's class today but as I did a class last night I decided to do my normal gym core and upper body workout today instead.  I also bought a Swiss Ball today so that I can do some more core work at home trying to get the body right for an improved swimming technique.
