A hard turbo session

Today's main session was a 90 minute endurance session. I was still feeling tired from the fell race on Sunday so I knew it would be a hard session. At least it wasn't as cold as it has been recently, a good start. The warm up was fine and then into a technique set; I still find the left leg and right leg isolated pedalling somewhat different but I am sure it will do me some good. The main set involved 5 sets of 4 minutes duration at different cadence and HR zones building up to my HR upper zone 4. It went nearly to plan for the first set and I couldn't achieve the higher HR zone on the repeat of the set. Felt tired by the end, more so than I have for a while.

The gym session today also took some motivation to complete, I still did it but it didn't feel as good as normal. And I am still having difficulty with the new locks at Esporta as I discovered a new problem as I cannot read the numbers on the combination lock without my glasses: I think I will have to get a lock with a key.

I finished the evening with a physio session with Zoe. I asked her to work on my hip area as I have been feeling some pain from it since the fell race on Sunday. It hurt but by the end it was feeling a lot better, then more work on the legs, that is quads and calfs, the hamstrings were not that tight for a change.
