A very cold early morning run

I do not know what the temperature was when I went out at 6.30am this morning but an hour later Cath said it was -7C according to her car. The warm up was slow to keep the heart rate low although I probably worked harder as I was cold and wanted to warm up. I headed for Pineham, the wonderful shed park, as it is fairly flat with a circuit of just under a mile, good surface and traffic free that I used for the fartlek sets of 3 mins slow, 2 mins medium and 1 min fast - I completed 6 repeats. I enjoyed the session but was pleased to get in from the cold.
Today included a visit to see Andreas who is a chiropractor to manipulate my back - its been less painful recently, not sure if that is all the treatment or the training, or both! And then to finish off the day I went for a Pilate's class, still not 100% convinced of the benefit but will keep going to see if it really will make a difference to my back and increase my flexibility.
