Swim and Zoe

The water was warm this morning, and empty so straight into a lane. Plan today was to concentrate on body position swimming with fins and then without. I do not know if others of you have done this but swimming keeping a body position at 90 degrees to emphasise body roll is quite challenging. It does help you analyse your technique and exposes its weaknesses. I am sure it is getting better - will have to wait and see on the video on the 15th February when all will be revealed! The session took 71 minutes, 2,120 metres with large chunk of time on the drills set as it was also painfully slow!
After the swim it was off to see Zoe for more work on increasing my flexibility and getting rid of all those impediments to stretching, sitting up straight and even just bending down to pick something up. It is getting better, I am more flexible, but still some way to go and then I have to keep it there. Its also good to have the weekly chat about our triathlon training and exploits past and future.
