Swim and cross-country

The day started early with a swim at Esporta. An endurance swimming session based on 300m sets all focusing on consistent technique and pace. With warm up and drills added I was swimming for 66 minutes covering 2,240m.
A quick breakfast and off to the cross country course for set-up and to wait for the Red Cross to arrive to provide the first aid cover. The course around Delapre Park was in good cross country condition, with plenty of firm ground and enough mud and water to make it interesting. The course was 4.47 miles, twice round the park and through the woods, I took 35mins 18secs in 137th position.

A good week overall, 11hours 20minutes in total against a planned time of 10hours 5minutes. The additional swim this morning was the main contributor to the higher total time. Next week's target time is 10hours 30minutes.
