A snowy day - an excuse for a run

I was up early enough to take the phone call that Cath's school was closed today for the snow. An hour's session on the turbo for pedalling efficiency soon passed in the garage, not as cold as I expected, guess it warmed up with the snow. I do need a better view than I currently get, the fridge and a slightly open door for the outside world are getting a bit tedious! I was looking forward to a long bike ride on Saturday: with the current weather forecast it looks like I will need a long turbo or spinning session instead but I will wait and see.

Then I was off to see Zoe to see if another bit of my body can be loosen up and made to work correctly. Today it was my shoulder and neck that she worked on and it did hurt at times, but feels OK now. I am expecting that over time I will be much more flexible, my whole posture will be improved and hence my likelihood of injury is diminished so I can swim, bike and run more effectively and do a better Ironman.

I was only planning on doing one session today, but with several inches of clean and clear snow outside and more falling I couldn't miss the opportunity to get out there and enjoy it, especially as I was working at home so easier to find the time. The run alongside the canal, around Sixfields nature reserve and lake and then over Hunsbury Hill provided some really great snow scenes, unfortunately I didn't take my camera with me so all you get is one of me outside the front door!
If it's still there tomorrow you should get out there and enjoy yourself, I will be.
