Fun on the trains and another snowy fun run

I knew I would not be training on Wednesday as I had a very full day in London. I set off in the snow to drive to Milton Keynes at 6.15am to get the 7am train to Olympia, straight to the door. The snow was caused a few problems driving to the station, it was heavy going into London. Then the excitement hit when just outside Wembley the loud noises, bright flashes, what looked like cables and other bits flying around and windows on the train all crazed and loss of power. Some panic on the train, fortunately we were able to coast into the station and had to evacuate the train. It was clear that trains were not going anywhere so we were told to catch another train and make our own way... after 4 other trains and tubes I arrived at 9.30am instead of 8am. The whole day didn't go to plan my hotel had heating problems so we were sent to another hotel miles away.

Thursday went better, trains now running so I could get back to Milton Keynes easily and home so I could sort things out before going for a run. Still not a normal run, another golf course run, this time Delapre. There is something very satisfying about running in the dark across snow, although the run through the woods was less so with muddy paths, obstacles and hanging branches. Still OK, no injuries. I am looking forward to getting back to normal training when the weather has improved and my work commitments do not mess up plans.
